What a Paint Warranty Actually Covers (and What It Doesn't)

Manufacturer warranties cover the paint itself — peeling caused by paint failure, not prep failure. They almost never pay out. What matters is the contractor's workmanship warranty: a 10-year warranty means they re-coat for free if it peels, blisters, or cracks for any reason. Get it in writing.
